Lost Touch ID on iMac since Tahoe
Touch ID not working since I installed Tahoe, done some checking around but no obvious answer.

I had the same issue. Happened shortly after Tahoe upgrade but not sure that was the reason. I resolved it by some combination of the following: turn keyboard off and back on (power switch on front - closest to screen - right edge of keyboard); restart iMac; connect keyboard to iMac with cable; set up Touch ID again.

Thank you for your response, I did as you advised but I did not have to restart my Mac or use a cable as just turning keyboard off and on did the trick.
I will remember that, also not absolutely sure it was installing Tahoe that did it.
Thank you again for your response.

Same issue here. Working on a MacBook, so turning keyboard on and off is not an option. Does anyone have another suggestion? Thanks!
