I have installed latest Mac software update Tahoe---Periodically the dock now disappears and I need to reset command from settings menu---anyone else having this problem

I have this same issue, Mac mini m4 pro, since updating to Mac OS 26 the dock randomly disappears (I have the dock on the left side of my screen) if I move the mouse to the left screen edge the dock usually reappears and then acts as if I have show/hide dock set to on (I don't) i.e shows when cursor on left screen edge then disappears when I move away from the edge. if I toggle the option to show/hide the dock in settings it stays in place for a few hours before it starts misbehaving again
I have the same issue with my M4 Mac Mini and instead of going into settings I use the keyboard key combo of: OPT-CMD-D (press all at same time) and the dock is restored. I hope that the next update of OS26 fixes this.

What Mac do you have >1 display? Ensure it's not set to automatically show/hide the Dock.
Same. EVERY time my computer either starts up or I wake it from the screensaver, the dock is hidden again. In Settings I have to toggle the "Automatically hide and show the Dock" on and then off for it to show. Very annoying!
I have the default set to NOT hide the dock.

Having said that, I’ve had Tahoe on one of my MacBook Pros since launch day, and my dock has always remained exactly where it’s supposed to be (on the internal display as well as with an external display connected). Another user who reported an intermittently disappearing dock was using a dual display set up.
Same here on a 2020 iMac after the Tahoe Upgrade. It happen periodically. First I thought I accidentally did it on my keyboard, but it's not. Hope it is a bug and can be fixed, and not that my iMac is giving up
Update: After restarting my computer several times, the doc has been more stable; however, now in addition to its random disappearance, my desktop files and folders are randomly disappearing as well 🥺
