How to refresh iCloud Drive in Finder

When I add a file to my iCloud drive from another device, the iCloud drive in my macbook finder does not update to include the new files i added.

When I click on the checkmark in the finder it shows "Last sync 40 min ago" without the possibility of refreshing.

Is there a way to force an iCloud drive update from the Finder? Without having to create empty folders or files on the laptop in hopes of a sync?
