The cell border format function is disabled in one of my spreadsheets
In one of my spreadsheets all of the cell borders disappeared and in the format menu the cell border function now longer works. It only happened to this one spreadsheet.

I discovered the problem. Somehow the entire contents of my spreadsheet had become organized into a group. Apparently the cell border format function is not available to cells in a group. I found the issue when I noticed a new category row had appeared below my header. It had a drop down menu which allowed me to turn off categories. Once I did that the cell border format function was restored. Unfortunately all of the previous borders I had formatted were gone and had to be recreated.
