Open Safari With Blank Page By Default

Within macOS Sequoia safari, there is no option to load safari in a completely blank page

The only x2 options are...

* All windows from last session

* All non-private windows from last session

Granted you can set new tabs to open in a blank page, but it's kinda annoying to have to load a new tab, then close safari in order for it to restart in a blank page.

Is there any hack, to force safari to open in a blank page, regardless of what site was running when closing safari?

Ugh, ignore this thread, I had turned off closed windows when quitting an application switch. Re-enabling brought back the blank window option

OK, I found the setting which I wish Apple would make easier to figure out since I have never had to do this before. Look at all the steps you need to go through...:

  1. Go to Settings App/Desktop & Dock
  2. Scroll down to Windows section and toggle on "Close windows when quitting an application"
  3. Then go back to Safari Browser and select "settings" from drop down menu
  4. On the "General Tab" you will now have the option of selecting "Safari Opens with new window"
