Bug with Time and Date

I upgraded to Tahoe while in Eastern Time and came back to Central but the auto date and time will not change to Central. What is WORSE is that it has changed the times on my calendar so that I no longer have the correct time for my appointments. I set the date and time to manual, but my appointments did not shift back to Central. I also tried to switch back to auto time, but it kept seeing me as in Eastern time. Had to switch back to manual date and time and keep it there.

OKAY I FOUND A SOLUTION: reset location services for privacy by going to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and toggling it off and on, which also restarts the locationd process. For persistent issues, you can also use the sudo killall locationd command in the Terminal.

This also fixes my ability to post to the community forum. Apparently, if my date and time are set manually, I cannot post to the forums. It forces a continual log in request even though I am logged in.
