Apple clock widget not changing to dark mode on MacBook Air M2

so I’m having trouble getting my Apple clock widget get into dark mode. I have it set properly in appearance. Dark mode tile selected and set to always but the clock stays white. Is this a bug?? Why would Apple not let you change the clock widget color to dark mode??? Any help would be appreciated!

I have MacBook Air m2 running Tahoe

Original Title: Dark mode widgets

This maybe depending on >> System Setting >> Appearance >> Appearance

First image is using Dark ( Appearance )

Second image is using Light ( Appearance )

The Clock Face with the hands with time marking does not change

Only the surrounding of the Clock will change

Tested on a M4 Desktop running Tahoe, the first commercially released version of macOS 26.0

First image - Dark

Second image - Light
