Cannot free disk space after deleting iphone backups

I backup the data from old iphone on my PC (about 100 gb). After that I delete using itunes following the instruction (preferences --> iphone backup). But nothing happens. I restart computer, delete recycle bins, delete files in Apple mobilesys,..... But cannot freeup disk space. Windows and Itunes like a pile of trash. Can anyone help me?
