How to deal with a disliked update that can't be deleted on iPhone?

I see all these people raving about the new update online, but I hate it. It makes my phone glitch and work slower. Then I find out I can’t delete it. It’s about 2 cause me 2 cross over to the other side. Any advice on this matter?

In addition to Grant's good advice, please keep in mind that it may take several days for all the indexing (which may cause glitches) to complete. Many users, including myself, found the phone worked much better after a couple days. I also reduced transparency and motion, as well as adjusting contrast. After that, I was better able to concentrate on the changes that are helpful.
