Removing all "Sections" in Newsletter Template in Pages
I cannot figure out how to have stand alone pages in my Pages document.

The Pages Newsletter templates are all Layout document format where every page is also its own section, unlike the word processing layout where each section may contain multiple pages. One can remove a page in a Layout document by right-clicking on the thumbnail and choosing Delete. You may or may not wish to do that though.
If you remove all sections in any of the newsletter templates, you will have a blank Layout format document. If that is what you want, then start with a Blank Layout template instead.
