Problems with recording vocals through Focus Rite / Scarlett 2i2 in Logic Pro/Garageband

Hey!

So I bought the focus rite audio interface combined with the Rode NT1A condense mic. I have followed all the steps. Everything is connected and the settings aswel. The problem I am facing is that logic and garageband pick up my vocals/speech very soft, while if I tap on the mic it starts clipping and the tapping is being recorded properly. But as soon as I start singing it records very very soft.

If I use the mic in Quickplayer it is working properly.

Can somebody help me figure out what to do? I have asked Chatgpt followed like 10 steps, watched YouTube video's but none is fixing my problem.

Looking forward to hear some expertise from you guys!

Thank you in advance

Greetings,

Johnny

Make sure your Mac's Mic Mode is set to standard. You can fin this setting either in the control center of your mac or in the upper menu bar of your mac indicated as an orange mic icon.
