Disable game controller from launching Game Center

I’m using a controller (Gamesir X2s Type-c) for my iPhone 15 pro max to play on the RetroArch and Delta apps. When I press the home button on the controller which should bring up the apps home menu, I’m now being taken to Apple Game Center. I can no longer save my progress because of this! So far the info I’ve found on the web hasn’t been specific to my need. I just need to get the apps Home Screen!
