After upgrading to Tahoe 26.0.1 Finder keeps popping up asking for my password.

I installed the Tahoe upgrade yesterday afternoon. Since then, a finder keeps coming up asking to make changes and wanting my touch id or password. This has happened HUNDREDS of times. I've tried canceling and I've tried entering it, nothing stops it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this occur for a different user, e.g., Guest ?

Consider the possibility of a third party software conflict.  EtreCheck can be used to investigate what is installed.  Give it full disk access. You can post the report here. Someone might spot something.

I was experiencing an update asking for a password, even though I never had a password on my desktop.

I had done some troubleshooting. The terminal trick reset password, used OnyX, went to keychain, followed all the bouncing balls.

Called support and sent them a ladder. They captured the data a few times and even recorded a screen, but they were unable to identify the issue. Unfortunately, the problem persists.

Call me back I'm sure that'll be a long time..

They will get back to me, good luck with that...
