AirPods Pro 3 disconnecting, missing features

I just bought the newest AirPod Pro 3's one week ago and I've struggled to set them up. Upon opening the case they immediately connected to my phone and played music perfectly fine. They sound great. However, I realized after a couple of days that I am unable to connect them to my "Find My" network when I momentarily misplaced them.

When I return my AirPods to their case and close it, they disappear from my iPhone settings. It is as if my iPhone immediately forgets that it has ever been paired to AirPods. There is no longer a "William's AirPods Pro" page within my settings.

When I am wearing them or the case is open, and I select their settings page, instead of displaying the battery lives of the individual components at the top of the page, the top half of the page is blank (screenshot attached).

Further down the settings page, there is no line item addressing the "Find My Network." I noticed when searching troubleshooting videos that several of the togglable features that I saw on other peoples' screens were missing from mine entirely.

All of my operating systems are up to date, all of my location services are allowed, and I have tried disconnecting/forgetting/resetting the AirPods multiple times. Is this a mechanical error, do I need a new pair?

Thanks!

Having the same issues with my new AirPods Pro 3. They paired to my iPhone 16 Pro Max via Bluetooth and play music perfectly fine; however,

  1. When I open the case, the pop-up showing the battery charge doesn't appear (used to with my AirPods Pro 2).
  2. When I open the case or put the AirPods in my ears, the name of my AirPods does not appear at the top of the Settings page, like it used to with my Pro 2's. Nothing to click on to get to the settings for the AirPods Pro 3. To see the settings, I have to click on Bluetooth to go into the Bluetooth settings, then click on the "i" next to the name of the connected AirPods Pro 3. I then get the same screen you get with the missing features (battery percentage, etc.) on top.
  3. My AirPods Pro 3 don't appear in the Find My app.

I had updated my 16 Pro Max to the latest IOS 18 version: 18.7.1. Like you, I had tried forgetting, resetting, and reconnecting the AirPods, but the issues persist. I was holding off updating to IOS 26, but after these issues with my AirPods Pro 3, I decided to update to IOS 26 to see if it would resolve these issues. Currently in the process of updating now. Fingers crossed it fixes these issues. I'll post an update if it works.
