Any way to disable Facetime ducking all other audio?

I've seen this issue over the decade but Apple doesn't seem to care. Is there any way to disable Facetime ducking all other audio? I'm on facetime, using airpods, and I want to listen to music but facetime lowers the volume to the point that I can't almost hear the music. I just switch from Windows and this simple thing is just disappointing.
