iPhone 16 Bluetooth Audio Switching to in Browser Pop Up Audio

iPhone 16: when listening to music on my phone and using a bluetooth device (ear buds, speaker, or car play), if I use Safari and the page has an in window ad or video with audio, the music pauses and the browser audio tries to play. No audio plays from the ad, but it pauses my music. I always have to go back to the music app I am using and hit play to continue. This effect is super annoying and defeats any hands free convenience. I have done the following with zero change:

• Turned off pop-ups in Safari
• Turned off Handoff in General, Air Play and Continuity. For what it’s worth, all options in Air Play and Continuity are turned off.

I find it hard to believe there isn’t a solution for this issue. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
