Is a bent Apple Pencil USB-C cap normal after dropping?

I have an apple pencil usb c. I dropped it and there's a slight bend on the front of the cap and it become slightly looses, is this normal?

Dropping most anything that doesn't have much flexibility (particularly onto a hard surface) is likely to cause damage to one object, or both.
