Playlists I created will not sync from my PC to my iPhone 17 Pro via Apple Devices software.
I bought a new iPhone 17 Pro. I restored it from my iCloud backup. Then I connected it to the Apple Devices App on my PC in order to get my owned (not bought from Apple but bought over the years and uploaded to my iPods, then iPhones) music to the phone. It took several attempts as the software kept exiting from the sync, but eventually it worked.
When I go to the music app on my iPhone, the songs are there. The album and artists lists are too. The smart playlists are also there. However, the playlists I created myself are missing. I have almost 40 of them and they are extensive. They still exist in the Apple Music app on my PC. I want them on my iPhone. They were on my old iPhone 14 Pro and its predecessors. However, the Apple Devices app on my PC not does not show the paylists I created in the list. I checked this by changing the sync "Entire Music Library" to "Selected Artists... etc.)" to check this out. All other times I have asked Apple Devices to sync my entire library.
Another interesting fact is that in Apple Devices there is a left hand sidebar. The top half is the settings for the various things you want to sync to your iPhone or other device. The bottom half is the list of what is on the device, in this case an iPhone. When I click on one of the items to see what the software says is on the device, it will not bring up the information, it just shows a spinning circle interminably.
I spoke with an Apple Advisor who agreed with me that the software must have an error, but only could suggest that I re-create the playlists on my phone. This would take hours. She said she would report the issue to the software people. I told her that the Apple Devices software has been clunky and difficult ever since Apple changed to it.
Any ideas on how to get the lists to sync?
