Getting Electric shock from apple 20w adapter

I bought my new iPhone 17 on 5th October. When I am putting my device on charging, it gives electric shock near the edge and camera button region.

I tried unplugging my device and touched the charger cable pin directly to confirm it and I felt the shock.

I checked the adapter details whether it’s a faulty or not but it seems to be fine and found it manufactured by an authorised company named Salcomp.

What should I do? Please advise me whether I should purchase an other adapter with cable. I am worried that this will affect my battery health drastically.

I also checked with the sales person from where I got my device.

What should I do?

You should make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service shop to have the adapter and iPhone checked and tested.

You can find a list of authorized shops in your area using this link......Find Locations......but I think you already know that they will tell you that your power adapter and/or cable is defective and will need to be replaced.

Buy an Apple adapter and cable and test things out while you are still at the location.
