When I am browsing a wesite that needs me to scroll ie an auction website etc that I have to scroll down, if I click on another tab when the page is scrolled part way down it goes back to the top of the page when I go back to it unless I click the scrolling page before viewing another tab, my previous macbook didnt do this, I am using a 2020 air on sequoia

safari, I never had a problem with these websites on my old macbook using safari, it doesnt do it with chrome
If I click somewhere on the page I am scrolling before clicking on another tab it locks the page where I have scrolled to.
Which browser? Whatever browser you are using, try a different one.

I can't reproduce the symptom using Safari. Maybe someone else will have an idea. Which auction site?
TWgaze.co.uk if you click on one of their auctions and scroll down then click another tab you have open then click back on the gaze tab it seems to pop back to the top of the page
Thanks for the site info. I tried in both Sequoia and Tahoe and can't reproduce the issue in Safari. Don't know what would cause that. BTW, are you on the latest version of Sequoia, 15.7.1?
