Search results include unwanted files in macOS Tahoe, this did not happen before upgrading from macOS Sequoia.
For example, querying for "spoti" brings unwanted results for `*.go` files:
Even though I have toggled off "Developer" in "Documents" inside Spotlight preferences, I keep seeing them:

I no longer have Spotify installed but, Tahoe may not consider them Developer files.
Feel free to send Apple feedback.
It happens with any term, for example querying for "calc" also brings unwanted document type results.
I see, the title of your post led me to believe you were talking about Developer files.

Just to add, if you are searching for only Applications, click on the Applications tab.
I guess I should have mentioned, I have no separate "Documents" settings under System Settings > Spotlight.
