Verifying iPhone 12 unlock status and potential carrier restrictions

Bought iPhone 12 3 yrs ago but not use in last 2.5 years . Could it still be locked as settings say sim locked , but next page says this device may be restricted or limited by the carrier. Honestly not remember carrier and family reset phone ? How can I verify if unlocked or type of restrictions ? I do recall paying about 100 usd and saying use service for 12 months

I don’t know of a single US carrier that offers support via email. You’ll need to call or chat more than likely. You can always send a letter via the postal service. FedEx and UPS have services for documents and letters.
