Should I be concerned if I opened a suspicious link on iPhone 14?

should i be concerned if I opened a link on a text that purported to be Amazon. When i clicked on it, it was all in Chinese and i deleted it and changed my apple & Amazon password. Do I need to take further mesures to protect my data?

thankyou

If all you did was as you’ve described you’re in great shape. The OS protects you from harm caused by simply following a URL to a dodgy site.

Changing your passwords - while always a good practice - was most likely unnecessary.

HOWEVER, since you DID click a texted link, you’re now “flagged” to the criminals as a “live ‘phishable target’ who’s ‘nibbled the bait’ once but got away”

… so you unfortunately might see an increase in similar phishing attempts.

Be extra vigilant going forward.
