New AirPods Pro 3 case running out of battery fast

I’ve had the new AirPods Pro 3 for a little over 2 weeks and the case is running out of battery insanely quick. I’ve already had to charge the case at least 5 or 6 times and I primarily only use the AirPods in the evening for 30 minutes or so before bed. My old AirPods Pro which are well over 2 years old my partner now has and the case on those still outlasts the new one. The charge on the actual AirPods themselves is fine and seems to last substantially longer out of the case than the old pair but it seems as though the case is draining from 100% to less than 10% after placing the AirPods in them twice. Anyone else had this issue and found a fix or is this not right and should I look at a replacement case?
