automatic speaker open while calling

Steps I have followed:

  1. Settings>Accessibility>Touch>Call audio routing
  2. Selected Automatic

This does not resolve the issue

Re: automatic speaker open while calling

Thank you kindly for your post to the community, and for including the steps you tried.

If you use hearing-aids, or earpods, etc. ensure they are well-fitting because removing one of them will switch the audio to the speaker.

Otherwise:

Apple support's online article While on a call on iPhone - Apple Support may help check whether "talk handsfree" may be turned on while you are calling.

Eg: says:

When you’re on a phone call on iPhone,

you can switch the audio to the speaker or a Bluetooth® device.

Adjust the audio during a call

swipe down on the call banner, then do any of the following:

  • Mute: Tap the Mute button.
  • Put the call on hold: Touch and hold the Mute button.
  • Talk handsfree: Tap the Audio button, then choose an audio destination.

Else: If you are also using an accessibility feature on your iPhone,

you may want to reach out to the Accessibility Support Team for assistance with that:

See: How to contact Apple for help with accessibility features - Apple Support

All the best :-)
