Apple Watch causing skin irritation and bleeding

I do have sensitive skin. Where my Apple Watch sits the skin has become very fragile and itchy leading to bleeding and I can no longer wear my watch for more than a few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve had the watch for 2 years.
