How to transfer mp3 from W11 to iPhone in 2025?

Hi.

I would like to transfer some mp3 files from my windows 11 computer to my iPhone 13.

But it doesn't work as it did in the past.

I installed the apple devices app

I installed apple music

I installed iTunes

I don't have an apple music subscription (and don't want to have one)

The apple devices app detects my phone and I can create a backup on the pc.

It just shows the spinning circle forever if I try to read music, movies, books etc.

iTunes doesn't give the option to connect to the phone (no button as it used to have).

Additionally it doesn't provide music anymore - just podcasts and audio books

apple music provides musik - but it doesn't provide a way to connect to my iPhone as well.

So. What to do?

Oh. And if I open the device through explorer the folder is empty. No music folder or anything.

So - how to get my ringtones on it?
