How can I fix Apple TV asking to renew my active subscription while abroad?

I’m in Australia and wanted to stream some AppleTV content though my phone, but the app wants me to renew my subscription. I have an active subscription, and when I go through my profile in the AppleTV app it shows my subsection is active, but the app keeps asking me to renew my subscription. My home region is the UK. Dies anyone know what might be wrong?
