splitting chats if I have 2 phone lines but recipient has only 1 phone line

I have 2 lines on my phone but would like to split my chats with others based on that. In other words if I send a message from personal line to recipient A it will show in a separate chat than if I send it from my work line to the same recipient. The recipient has only 1 number and iMessage account. Is it possible?

I don't believe so, the messages are going to the same contact. The conversations could be split on the recipient's end by making two separate contacts- one with your personal phone and another with your work phone- which would show them in separate conversations, but it would still appear as one conversation for you. The only way I can see you being able to split it up is to use another communication address, like the recipient's iCloud email, as well as their phone number. Even then, you'd have to make separate contacts for the recipient's phone and email.
