You may first have to create the category "Your Photos", that is shown in dialabrain's screenshot.

Try the following:

  • Open the System Settings > Wallpaper.
  • At the top of the Wallpaper pane you should see the thumbnail of your current wallpaper, where your screenshot is showing "Alaskan Jellies Light". This thumbnail is a well, where can drag a different wallpaper to. Drag a jpeg, that you want to use a a wall paper on top of the current wallpaper thumbnail. Now the row with "Your Photos" should appear. You can also drag a folder with images right onto the current wallpaper thumbnail and wait for this folder to appear as a new set of wallpapers at the bottom of the list of available wallpaper sets.

Thanks for your reply, I tried these -- dragging photos and folders into the well but the "row with "Your Photos" should appear" did not appear, "You can also drag a folder with images right onto the current wallpaper thumbnail and wait for this folder to appear as a new set of wallpapers at the bottom of the list of available wallpaper sets." And no new set of wallpapers appeared at the bottom. What did happen is the photos from the folder are rotating on my wallpaper but there are no controls to set how the photos are displayed. i want to rotate the photos and set sizes and duration like the old OS, does the folder have to be in a specific spot on my hard drive? Something strange is going on........
