've just recently upgraded my old Macbook Air Intel to Macbook Air, Apple M4 Chip, 24 GB, macOS Tahoe 26.0.
The playback head will not move or will move for a few bars but then freezes but the music keeps on playing. All guidance is appreciated.

The fact that you did the Migration Assistant from an Intel to a silicon chip will cause problems without a doubt.
Have you tried opening with Rosetta? Try using a Larger buffer size as well (1024). Please reply with your progress so others may benefit. Audiobojan could also be right...I am not on Tahoe yet.
I would definitely uninstall/reinstall. Make sure your buffer is set to 1024 in Logic Pro settings.

You could try using rosetta but I would down grade your OS to Sequoia 15.7.1. macOS Tahoe has broken Logic for many people. Never update to a new OS when you use pro audio apps. Never
Have you used Migration Assistant for transferring the Logic application?

yoyoBen the entire migration was done in the Apple Store so don’t know.

Did the uninstall/reinstall. Deleted all shortcuts. Rebooted the computer. Still the same problem. Hmmm. Any other ideas.
