logic pro will not update

I bought a student bundle of the pro apps that apple sells for my son. he needs to update his logic pro for his school class but the app store doesn't even recognize that he has it on his computer because the only option is to buy it new and it doesn't show up in the purchases. he has a new macbook m3 with the latest OS, i think it's tahoe 26.0.1. he has logic 11.1 installed and there is 11.2 available.
