Spotlight functionality has been reduced in Tahoe

I'm not sure Apple will find anything to fix. Here's what I see when I type 'calc':

If I press Command-1 first, so that I'm specifically searching applications, then I see:

I have Spotlight set to show results from Stocks:

Perhaps try rebuilding your Spotlight index.

I don't know why you are getting the results you have been, but Spotlight learns.

Type ca and then open Calculator from the list.

When you type ca again, it should pull Calculator first.

You’ll likely just keep waiting, then. It’s a problem with your index. Try deleting the Spotlight index folder with,

sudo mdutil -X /

Then log out and log back in.
