Can't sync music, toggle greyed out

Hi

I can't sync my iphone 16e with music app.

The iphone appears as normal under the heading "devices" in the music app.

It also appears as normal with the iPhone name although there is the heading "sync settings" when I place the cursor there nothing happens.

The music is all there but not the page asking to sync settings.

I have been trying for about 2 days should I just erase everything on my iphone and start again?
