iPhone 13 Pro Max still carrier-locked after T-Mobile unlock request

Hello, I have this iphone 13 pro max, initially carrier locked to Sprint. I requested an unlock from T mobile, they said IMEI 1 was unlocked and only 2 was locked, they then said they've unlocked IMEI 2 as well. On my end the phone is still locked. I have done multipe resets, updates with no breakthrough. They still insist the phone is unlocked. Apple says its T mobile to unock it. When I do an IMEI check online, shows my phone is still locked. So what can I do because T mobile says they have unlocked my phone and should be free to use, which is not the case.

If T-Mobile won’t acknowledge the issue this is your only option.

You can file a complaint directly through the FCC’s official portal,

https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov > select Phone > then Equipment – Device Unlocking.

When submitting a complaint, include the following details,

Carrier name (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile)

Type of device and IMEI number

Account status or purchase proof

Description of the issue and prior attempts to resolve it

The FCC requires carriers to respond within 30 days, and in most cases, carriers will contact you shortly after your filing to resolve the dispute.
