That is not true. You are unable to remove the account from the device due to the Activation Lock and the only way to remove it is to provide the original purchase receipt showing you purchased the device along with the receipt showing the IMEI/Serial number.

With your account showing you are 9 years old the device will have to be part of a Family Sharing group controlled by the Organizer. It is the Organizer that would need to update the birthdate.

Update the birthday associated with an Apple Account - Apple Support

No identification or proof of age is used to create an Apple Account to identify you, so there is nothing you can provide that will prove it is your account to update the birthdate. The device will have to be part of a Family Sharing group if the account is showing an age under 13. You can create a new Apple account with your correct birthdate, but you would not be able to remove the account on the device without the receipt for proof of ownership in the first link. The steps for leaving a Family Sharing group are here:

Your best option may be buying an iPad yourself where you will have the documentation to prove you are the legal owner, then you will have complete control of the device.

That is correct. I moved out when I was 18 after getting a job and apartment and it was not easy at first, but we all do it at some time. Good luck and wish you well.

all the things one is supposed to do I can’t. It’s all disabled for me

the red text yall are supposed to press is gray

and in top of that I have screen time

so if I somehow magically pressed one of those buttons it will ask for my screen time passcode.

so the only thing for me to do now is save/make money. Let’s just hope my parents don’t go with the

”everything thst is urs under our roof in ours so that money u have belongs to us”

ty tho and god bless yall
