Apple TV App (MacOS 26) doesn't play preview or recap since Tahoe 26/26.01

Since updating to Tahoe, Apple TV App won't play "previews" or "recaps", but *will* play the main feature. What is up with that?

Possibly related?: After the same update, playback on other apps became glitchy as well:

-VLC player started stalling / stuttering randomly on playback, with audio continuing but video intermittently frozen.

-Music App (formerly known as "iTunes") volume equalization no longer working: songs in my library play much louder or quieter than the next song. "Get info" still shows a slider to increase or reduce volume for an individual song, but this slider produces no effect.

ANYWAY, what can i do to fix Apple TV? And, hopefully, other playback issues? These all started with MacOS 26. 26.01 did not help.
