Safari Stops streaming music when screen locks

Iphone 15 pro. Ios 26.0.1. Music streaming from a radio website on Safari stops when screen locks. This is a relatively new issue as this never happened with this same phone using earlier versions of Ios. I have checked all the recommended suggestions such as background app refresh, low battery mode etc. This only happens in Safari. If I stream the same website on Chrome or Tune-in radio it continues to play when the screen locks.
