Critical Issues After Updating to Version 26.0.1
After updating all my devices (Mac, iPad, and iPhone) to version 26.0.1, I started facing several serious issues across macOS, iPadOS, and iOS:
- Bluetooth audio — AirPods and other Bluetooth headsets often fail to connect. They only work after several attempts (please see the attached video). This issue happens every day, and I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to reconnect. It has seriously affected my productivity.
- iPad clock issue — The iPad only shows half of the clock
- macOS Finder extensions — When I try to enable or disable extensions, nothing happens. The system doesn’t respond to the selection.
- PDF file warning — PDF files open normally at first. However, after changing the default app for PDFs, macOS starts marking every file as potential “malware” and shows a warning to move it to Trash. The white “Test.pdf” file is just an example — I’ve tested this with multiple normal PDFs, and all of them show the same behavior.
- Overall stability — Since this update, I’ve noticed multiple small glitches and inconsistencies across the system.
This version has caused major usability problems across all my Apple devices. Please escalate this feedback to the engineering team — version 26.0.1 appears to have introduced several bugs that affect daily workflow.
I have all the videos and evidence available if the engineering team needs them for further review.
Thank you,
Ahmed
