iOS 26 Photo Shuffle is a disaster
I have used iOS photo shuffle since it came out in iOS 16. But in iOS 26 it is fundamentally broken and unusable and I need help. There are three fundamental issues.
First, settings DO NOT SAVE!!!! I will go through every photo I have selected for photo shuffle and set depth effects for the images I want to have depth effect on for and the ones I don’t want it on, and will adjust the size of the clock. It's so miserably hit or miss if the settings are saved. More time than not, the settings don't save. I added 1 photo to the shuffle and it lost all the previous settings. I should not have to adjust the settings per photo everytime I edit the shuffle to add photos.
Second, Even if I set the clock size, upon the photo changing the clock size will glitch. It'll flash the size apple thinks it should be then will remember, oh wait I'm supposed to be a different size and adjust it. This happens in a split second. But you can see it and it looks like garbage.
Third, Why is there NO OPTION to lock the clock size so it does not have to be adjusted on every single photo.... this seems like a no brainer.
It just seems like apple got really sloppy with photo shuffle. It's borderline unusable and incredibly frustrating to use. This isnt isolated to one device. I am using an iPhone 17 pro, an iPad Pro m4 and an iPhone 12 (work device). It happens on ALL devices. Is anyone else experiencing this and have any tips, or is this just an issue with iOS?
