Request for Support Regarding iPhone Damage After AppleCare Coverage Expired

Dear Apple Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request your assistance regarding an issue with my iPhone, which has sustained damage to the back of the device. Unfortunately, my AppleCare coverage expired at the beginning of October, but I am reaching out to inquire if there is any way to proceed with a repair or a potential exception given the circumstances.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed, as I rely heavily on my iPhone for daily use. If needed, I can provide photographs of the damage to assist in the evaluation of the issue.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.

Kind regards,

Rihab

Sorry, but you are NOT writing Apple Support here. This is a user to user only forum, which no one from Apple participates nor reads for user feedback. I'm sorry your phone sustained damage, but the standard one year AppleCare coverage doesn't cover accidental damage to begin with. Apple usually doesn't extend the warranty if you didn't pay for an AppleCare+ Plan. You are more than welcome to ask, but I wouldn't hold much hope if I were you. It's really no different for any product which becomes damaged after the warranty expires.

You should schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar, but again, don't be overly surprised if they deny warranty coverage, which as I said doesn't cover accidental damage to begin with. You can schedule an appointment with this link --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

This sounds as if you are are asking if Apple will repair your iPhone free of charge. While we cannot officially answer for Apple on this user-to-user site, we are very familiar with Apple's policies and procedures.

Based on our experience, the answer would be "no".

In any case though, you will need to make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to let them check and inspect the device and provide you with an estimate of repair (or replacement) cost.

I suppose it would not hurt to ask about a "no charge" repair when you take the iPhone in, but I think you already know what the answer will likely be.

You can find a list of authorized Apple service shops in your area by using this link:
