The issue is that while creating the contact I used to be able to choose the line. Now, however, I have to create the contact, save the information, then go back into the contact, edit contact, choose the number and then save again. Essentially adding steps to a process that weren’t there before. Which, while on the phone with a contact, or after having received a text or call is troublesome since it just shows default “(empty value)” then while you’re going through trying to set the number it may be setting the value to a different number than they called or texted you on. I hope that helps clarify a very murky problem. I really feel like Apple needs to spend a week with a team figuring out the most efficient and effective way of enabling the multi-sim process. There are too many points of failure.
and question for the person mentioning the the sim is tied to an email instead of a phone number, I recognize a table must have a “key”, in this case the email, but when you have hundreds or thousands of contacts, all have phone numbers and only some have email addresses, this seems to be a pain point. I know fewer people change email addresses over time than phone numbers but statistically speaking I’m on a phone dealing with a phone company. It’s be different if I was an e-tail business. But ultimately I’m sure there’s no perfect answer. Just a few thoughts though. Thanks in advance for any help and feedback!
