All photos will be deleted message in email & calendar

I’ve had multiple emails saying ‘Last warning all your emails will be removed’ which I’ve ignored, not clicked on any links etc. Today this warning appears as an all day calendar entry every day for 365 days. I do have cloud storage and I’ve updated my payment details today in settings as a card expired in July.

This has happened due to a Junk / spam email that you have received,

it has annoyingly automatically set reminders within your calendar,

Please Note…

Before you take the next steps please ensure that you have all up and coming meetings and reminders saved aside from the calendar app in order not to loose them..

I found, the only way to get rid of this (without deleting the reminders individually) is to remove the email account from your calendar.

Settings> Calendar> Calendar Accounts> Tap the Account that the spam email was received from> Switch off the Calendar Tab..

The annoying reminders should all be cleared by doing this..

The only problem with doing this is that your calendar reminders will need to be entered / updated manually rather than relying on emails that automatically save the time and dates of business meetings on the calendar app.

I hope this helps guys!

I reported this as a security vulnerability as this could effectively add fraudulent calendar entries, notes and links into the Calendar app, even though the email provider (Hotmail / Outlook) in my case, had protected me in moving the email (with a calendar invite attached to it) in the Junk folder.

Unfortunately closed by the Apple Security Research team with "We’re unable to identify a security issue in your report. We reviewed your report and were unable to identify a security issue.".

So as an attacker, if I can get my rogue email marked as Junk, I can effectively add Calendar events in iOS.

Too bad this was not considered a security issue.

To my mind this is most certainly a security issue. I noticed on my calendar a few days ago and I don’t even have access to my junk folder without going to my mail on the website itself. That means whatever email this was from was left unopened and still managed to populate the calendar! Apple should be taking this seriously because next time it could be something much much worse

Hi, so my calendar is flooded with the same message saying- Last or Final warning. All your photos will be removed. This message comes up about 3 times a day for every month that I have flocked through- many! This happened just after I cancelled my annual subscription to Adobe. Reading on here I understand to get rid you have to go into calendars a delete the email. I don’t have a dodgy one showing there, just ones that should be there. What should I do to get rid of them all? Thanks
