The icon in question is shown on the right / middle sign of the screen shot below. No one, even so chat AI's that I've tried can figure out what it is.

Yep, it is Hover Text, go to the Setting provided by Zachyy and turn it off. It is not turned on by default, so it must have been turned on previously. The functionality does change slightly in iOS 26 with that new icon you see for using it.

I am sure that you could teach the AI model you are using quite a few things. Now if you could just get it to ignore everything it has learned from Reddit, Social Media posts, and Ads scraped from webpages, it may actually quit showing false information.
