Can I use a US iPhone 17 Pro Max with eSIM in India?

Hello everyone

I'm Indian, so I want to buy the 17 Pro Max. Currently, I'm using 15pro, so I need a bigger battery. So in India, all phones have a physical SIM tray and also come with an e-SIM. Can I purchase a US device to use in India? My only concern is the battery, and pls also tell me Apple's authorised service center can repair the US device?

First as stated Apple won't ship directly internationally, and if you try shipping to a freight carrier Apple can also block that, and even using a payment method not matched with the online store can have anomalies.

Second, the difference in battery size with a physical SIM v eSIM is really only marginal, to be exact around 5% larger. When translated into usage you might not even notice a difference, and it doesn't even account for issues of an outside region unit.

Third, each region's iPhone model supports different cellular bands depending on the region. If you use an iPhone with different bands then the region you're in, you can experience that it won't work at full speed or at all in some places.

Last but not least, repairs are not guaranteed in India. The Service Center may only do so if it has the parts and manuals on hand for your region's device which isn't always guaranteed. Thus you may need to return to the US for any repairs.
