Mail keeps crashing on mail app on Macbooke Air M2 running Tahoe

Mail app on MacBook Air will open and start downloading mail and after a minute or so will crash and ask to report and ignore. I have hit report for months now and no answers. Finally I ran into a request for help where it was determined that the iCloud mail was causing the issue. Today I deleted my iCloud mail address from the mail app. That seems to have fixed the issue. I use several email addresses and would like to be able to check my iCloud email from the MacBook Air. Hopefully Apple can figure out why the iCloud account it crashing the mail app on MacBooks.
