Recently, the above problem started. I use MetaX to tag the TV Shows or Movies, then I move them to the folder. So show do show up others just disappear. Searching the drives does not find them.
I do have a MacBook as well and two new folders show up in Itunes, Automatically Add to Music.localized and Automatically Add to TV.localized. Not sure if these are causing the problem.

As far as I aware both iTunes and the TV app will have a tendency to assume that imported video files are Home Videos. Make sure this section of the library is enabled and see what it is in it. You can change the media kind via the get info dialog once you can find the files.

Hmm, do the files you are adding have the hidden property set? iTunes/Music/TV may discard such files automatically without an error message, or moving them to a Not Added subfolder.
Whatever the reason for this behaviour you can place your video files within the TV/Media folder where you think they belong, and then drag them to the library section of the app to add them to the library, or use File > Add to Library.

As suggested, the contents of that folder are automatically added to iTunes and the TV App.
If you have your library organized, then iTunes will also move the files to the locations int he library and remove them from the "Automatically add to..." folder.
Why are you putting in that folder, if you don't want them to be added to the library then?
I checked there and there is nothing.

Yes, it is setup to organize the folders. There is no Not Added after the file disappears from the Automatically Add folder.
