Why can I not add a subscription calendar into a shared calendar?

Why can't I add a subscription calendar (like ICS feeds) to a shared iCloud calendar? This seems like a basic feature—shared calendars already support events and reminders, so enabling subscription syncing with push notifications should be straightforward, right? Any plans to add this? #iCloud #Calendar
