Reminders are not syncing between iPhone, iPad, and MacOS

This seems to have started when I installed Tahoe. I have the reminders app actually running on all three devices and I have been completing tasks on my iPhone. I unlock my laptop and there are a mega list of reminders from the last three days that I have already dismissed on my iPhone. I leave the app open on my laptop and it never updates so I have to manually complete each task again. This is also occurring on my iPad, which means I need to complete the same task 3 times in order to get the Reminders list in sync. This used to work until recently so something has changed either in the OS or on the service side.
