Airpods Pro (Gen 1) mismatch error for two years.

Hi, I’m having an issue with my AirPods Pro (1st Gen). In the Find My app it keeps saying “Setup Incomplete” and “AirPods Mismatch.”

I’ve already:

• Forgotten the AirPods from Bluetooth and iCloud on all my devices

• Removed them from my Apple ID via Find My

• Factory-reset them several times

The serial number shown in Settings and on the case is the same: H******59.

It seems like a server-side serial pairing problem—one of the internal serials for the earbuds might not match what’s stored in Apple’s database.

Could you please check whether my left, right, and case serials are properly matched in your system, and if not, help re-pair or replace the mismatched component?

I’ve already followed all standard troubleshooting steps, so I’m requesting an activation-lock / serial-mismatch escalation for AirPods Pro.

Troubleshooting AirPods Mismatch:

Take this Up with Apple:

No one here can check this for you, as no one has access to your Apple Account (and that is a good thing, BTW). These are just user-to-user forums.

A. Start here: If you See an Alert that Says "AirPods Mismatch" - Apple Support

B. Verifying Genuine AirPods:

  1. Get the Serial Number: Find the Serial Number of your AirPods - Apple Support
  2. Enter the Serial Number here: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support
  3. View the Results: If all shows up as an AirPod, then you are fine. If not, then these are fake, and that is likely why you are getting the issue of connectivity.

C. A Glitch in Apple's Device Database?

I would contact Apple Support, asking them if there is a glitch in their user database. You should not be getting this message, if they have already been repaired. If these are used, then that may be why this is occurring.
